Pricing - Assessments

All assessments/initial consultations include:
- A review of the submitted case history form with further comprehensive discussion of your child’s history.
- Administration of the assessment.
- A written report (delivered within two to four weeks after your assessment).
- A follow-up phone call to caregivers to discuss results, identify priorities and values for therapy goals, and plan the next steps.

Please allow up to 90 minutes for the initial assessment session. Your child may need more than one session to complete the entire assessment. Any subsequent assessment sessions are included in the initial cost.

You do not need a referral to begin speech therapy services.

Pricing - Therapy and Other Services

Therapy sessions - $193.99:
- All therapy sessions involve a minimum 45 minutes of ‘face to face’ Zoom call time.
- All therapy sessions involve a minimum of 15 minutes of client progress documentation, individualised home practice compilation, and follow up email to caregivers with the week’s home program.

Report Writing/Written Correspondence:
- $193.99/hour.
- This includes:
  - Written letters,
  - NDIS progress reports,
  - Development of home therapy programs beyond standard home practice provision,
  - Written correspondence with other professionals in relation to your child’s assessment results or therapy progress.

Phone Correspondence:
- Billed at $48.50 for 15 minutes or $97 for 30 minutes
- This includes:
  - Liaison with other professionals who work with your child, e.g., OT, psychologist.
  - Liaison with your child’s teacher.
  - Detailed discussion with you subsequent to phone calls provided after assessments.
  - This does not refer to phone calls made for administrative purposes.

Funding

National Disability Insurance Scheme/NDIS:
Ruby’s Room can provide services to some NDIS participants.
- Self-Managed Participants:
  We can provide services to self-managed participants. Payment for services delivered will be handled by the child’s caregiver’s directly, and reimbursed by the NDIS as based on your child’s plan.
- Plan-Managed Participants:
  We can provide services to plan-managed participants. Payment for services delivered will be handled by your nominated plan manager.
- Agency-Managed: Unfortunately, we cannot provide services to NDIA-managed participants at this time.

Medicare: General Practitioner Chronic Condition Management Plans
Speak to your GP about accessing a CCM plan to access Medicare rebates on up to five (5) allied health appointments per calendar year.
Medicare: M10 Item Group - Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Eligible Disabilities
Speak to your GP about accessing a M10 plan to access Medicare rebates on up to eight (8) assessment appointments or 20 session total across your child's lifetime. Eligible conditions include: severe speech sound disorders (including articulation and phonological disorders), apraxia, dysarthria, stuttering, and cleft lip or palate.
Private Health Insurance:
If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim rebates for speech pathology services depending on your coverage. Please check with your private health fund to see whether you are eligible.

Privately funded:
We provide services to privately funded clients.
